Urine Testing

Introduction

Urine testing for alcohol and drugs is well established, reliable and accurate. Collection of the urine sample takes place under controlled conditions using strict chain-of custody procedures. This sample can be tested on-site using the 'Instacheck' system and if a positive result is indicated the sample is despatched to the laboratory for confirmation testing.

Alternatively the sample can be sent to our appointed laboratory for both screening and confirmation.

Laboratory Testing for Drugs

The laboratory has a commitment to analytical quality and the entire operation of the organisation is accredited to BS EN 9001. The laboratory complies fully with UK Guidelines for Legally Defensible Workplace Drug Testing. Independent third party accreditation by UKAS to ISO 17025 ensures the highest standards of analysis are maintained. UKAS accreditation is the foremost assurance of analytical quality and reliability. The laboratory regularly participates in a variety of proficiency testing programmes, such as UK National External Quality Assessment Scheme (NEQAS) and the United Nations International Drug Control programme's collaborative exercises.

Screening of urine samples for drugs is carried out using advanced immunological systems under strict chain-of custody procedures. Confirmation testing for specific drugs is carried out using the most advanced analytical instrumentation, including GCMS.

Turnround times are fast and results can be transmitted to the customer using a variety of methods, depending upon individual requirements.
