NIVHA Laboratory Services Ltd. was formed originally in the early 1980's to provide Clinical Diagnostic Laboratory services for the private healthcare and veterinary sectors. We are based in Northern Ireland in Ballyclare, just outside Belfast.

Today the business concentrates primarily on the control of workplace drug and alcohol abuse. We can offer a complete service from helping and advising with the design and implementation of your Drugs & Alcohol policy to on-site testing, sample analysis and medical review.

• Policy and Planning - We can help and advise on drafting and implementing your policy and give advice on all aspects of drug abuse and screening.
• Sample Collection - if you have your own occupational health staff we will provide full training in the use of our urine collection system. Alternatively, we can provide fully trained collection staff - we can even provide you with collection premises, if needed.
• For-Cause testing - we offer a 24 hour post-incident call-out service to test individuals for the presence of alcohol or drugs.
• Oral Fluid testing - many organisations are considering the advantages of oral fluid (saliva) testing for drugs of abuse. We can carry out on-site oral fluid testing using the latest Cozart Rapiscan technology.
• Breathtesting - alcohol breath analysis is an accurate means of detecting and measuring the presence of alcohol. We use highly accurate Lion breathtesting devices and can offer on-site testing for alcohol or training in the use of breathtest devices by your own staff.
• Mobile Testing Unit - we can bring testing services to your organisation using our fully equipped mobile unit.
• Urine Testing - choose from 'on-site' instant screening or full laboratory screening. Each is backed up by full urine sample analysis by one of UK's main toxicology providers.
